You may be an exceptional friend
who makes intentional conversations a priority
while failing to feed the homeless.

You may spend more to support
responsible farms and influence food politics
while failing to give to many charities.

You may invest time and energy
in being present with your family more fully
while failing to become a local volunteer.

All these things are good and well, my dear.
The "failing" really isn't failing at all.
It's vital decision-making.

You cannot do it all.
That expectation to meet every need?
That isn't your role here... not at all.
