Yes, there's a voice telling you that you simply cannot be happy in this moment. You cannot experience joy and gratitude. This moment isn't perfect enough. It's certainly not as perfect as that ideal future you've dreamed up.
I don't care what that voice is saying -- turn away. No matter how relentless it may be, refuse to believe. You're strong enough to resist those lies.
Come back to this moment. There's beauty here. There's joy. There's gratitude.
Even though you do not know what the future may bring, choose joy. For joy and gratitude are expansive in nature. They won't limit that future in your mind. They'll merely set you free.
